D-link router comes with the latest advanced technology which supports a number of advanced features. With the help of  dlinkrouter.local, a user can connect multiple devices to the network to access the internet without any interruption.  In the below-given steps, we will guide you about the installation and configuration of the Dlink router through the  dlink router.local page. Follow every instruction very carefully to avoid mistakes in the setup process.

Dlinkrouter.local./192.168.0.1 configuration

Before you proceed further for the dlinkrouter.local./192.168.0.1 configuration, you need to make changes in any of the following:

  • Default Network Name and Password.
  • Router’s Firewall Settings.

  • Username and Password.

  • WIFI Network Name and password.

Now, you need to login to router’s admin panel and for this, you need to access the network through the LAN cable. You must know the default address of the router or the local web address of the dlink router.local page and the username and password of the router.

Hardware connection

  • Use the Ethernet cable and connect the router’s LAN port on the back to Modem.
  • Plugin the modem adapter to power outlet and then turn it on.

  • Check your D-Link router’s power LED.

D-Link Router Login

  • Make sure that you are connected to your D-Link router by using the Ethernet cable.

  • Open the web browser and enter the Dlink router.local ( a default address) in the address bar.

Important – If this address fails to work then you can look for the router IP Address in the printer manual you got with your router.

  • Enter the default username and password for the router and hit the enter button. By default, the username is ‘admin’ and leave the password column empty.

  • Use the Ethernet cable and connect the router’s LAN port on the back to Modem.
  • Plugin the modem adapter to power outlet and then turn it on.

  • Check your D-Link router’s power LED.

Once you have successfully logged in, you can modify the settings and also update your router firmware. Make sure that you have a stable internet connection for dlink router local setup. In case if you are unable to login to the D-link router web interface or if you have forgotten the password then you need to factory reset our D-link router.  Here are the steps to follow:

  • Find out the reset button at the backside of your router.
  • Press this button using a paperclip and hold it for 10 seconds.

Make sure that you place your router in the well-ventilated area to avoid the problems like slow connectivity.  You can also try to place the device closer to your D-link router.
